Circuit/System Verification

  1. Ignition - On / Vehicle - In Service Mode
  2. Perform the scan tool control function: Driver Window Motor - Up & Down

    Verify the component operates in both directions: M74D Window Motor - Driver

    • If not the specified state 

      Refer to Circuit/System Testing - Test 1

    • If the specified state 
  3. Operate the component: S79D Window Switch - Driver - Pulled=Up & Release

    Verify the component works as specified: M74D Window Motor - Driver =Express Up

    1. Operate the component: S79D Window Switch - Driver - Pressed & Pulled

      Verify the component works as specified:

    • M74D Window Motor - Driver =Up
    • M74D Window Motor - Driver =Express Up
    • M74D Window Motor - Driver =Down
    • M74D Window Motor - Driver =Express Down
    • If not the specified state 

      Refer to Circuit/System Testing - Test 2

    • If the specified state 
  4. Operate the component: Right Front Window Switch @ S79D Window Switch - Driver - Pressed & Pulled
  5. Verify the component works as specified: M74P Window Motor - Passenger= Up & Down
    • If not the specified state 

      Refer to Circuit/System Testing - Test 3

    • If the specified state 
  6. Operate the component: S79P Window Switch - Passenger - Pressed & Pulled
  7. Verify the component works as specified: M74P Window Motor - Passenger= Up & Down
    • If not the specified state 

      Refer to Circuit/System Testing - Test 4

    • If the specified state 
  8. Operate the component: Left Rear Window Switch @ S79D Window Switch - Driver - Pressed & Pulled
  9. Verify the component works as specified: M74LR Window Motor - Left Rear= Up & Down
    • If not the specified state 

      Refer to Circuit/System Testing - Test 5

    • If the specified state 
  10. Window Lockout Switch - Not Pressed
  11. Operate the component: S79LR Window Switch - Left Rear - Pressed & Pulled
  12. Verify the component works as specified: M74LR Window Motor - Left Rear= Up & Down
    • If not the specified state 

      Refer to Circuit/System Testing - Test 5

    • If the specified state 
  13. Operate the component: Right Rear Window Switch @ S79D Window Switch - Driver - Pressed & Pulled
  14. Verify the component works as specified: M74RR Window Motor - Right Rear= Up & Down
    • If not the specified state 

      Refer to Circuit/System Testing - Test 6

    • If the specified state 
  15. Window Lockout Switch - Not Pressed
  16. Operate the component: S79RR Window Switch - Right Rear - Pressed & Pulled
  17. Verify the component works as specified: M74RR Window Motor - Right Rear= Up & Down
    • If not the specified state 

      Refer to Circuit/System Testing - Test 6

    • If the specified state 
  18. Operate the component: Window Lockout Switch - Pressed

    Verify the function:

    • S79LR Window Switch - Left Rear=Disabled
    • S79RR Window Switch - Right Rear=Disabled
    • If not the specified state 

      Refer to Circuit/System Testing - Test 7

    • If the specified state 
  19. All OK.
