Circuit/System Testing

  1. Ignition OFF, disconnect the X1 harness connector at the K33 HVAC Control Module, ignition ON.
  2. Verify that the DTC B393D does not reset.
    • If the DTC resets 
    1. Ignition OFF, disconnect the X7 harness connector at the K9 Body Control Module.
    2. Test for infinite resistance between the signal circuit terminal 22 X7 at the K9 Body Control Module harness connector and ground.
      • If less than infinite resistance, repair the short to ground on the circuit.
      • If infinite resistance, replace the K9 Body Control Module.
    • If the DTC does not reset 
  3. Replace the K33 HVAC Control Module.
