Component Testing

- Ignition OFF, disconnect the harness connector at the B29D Door Lock Key Cylinder Switch-Driver.
- Test for infinite resistance between the terminals listed below with the switch in the open position:
- Signal terminal D and ground terminal C - right hand drive
- Signal terminal B and ground terminal C - right hand drive
- Signal terminal A and ground terminal B - left hand drive
- Signal terminal C and ground terminal B - left hand drive
- If less than infinite resistance
Replace the B29D Door Lock Key Cylinder Switch-Driver.
- If infinite resistance
- Test for less than 2 Ω between the terminal listed below with the switch in the Lock position:
- Signal terminal B and ground terminal C - right hand drive
- Signal terminal C and ground terminal B - left hand drive
- If 2 Ω or greater
Replace the B29D Door Lock Key Cylinder Switch-Driver.
- If less than 2 Ω
- Test for less than 2 Ω between the terminals listed below with the switch in the Unlock position:
- Signal terminal D and ground terminal C - right hand drive
- Signal terminal A and ground terminal B - left hand drive
- If 2 Ω or greater
Replace the B29D Door Lock Key Cylinder Switch-Driver.
- If less than 2 Ω
- All OK
