Component Testing

  1. Ignition/Vehicle Off.
  2. Disconnect the appropriate electrical connector: A24D Door Handle Assembly - Driver Exterior or A24P Door Handle Assembly - Passenger Exterior
  3. Test for infinite resistance between the test points: Signal terminal 3 & Ground terminal 4 - Not Pressed
    • If less than infinite resistance 

      Replace the component: A24 Door Handle Assembly

    • If infinite resistance 
  4. Test for less than 3 ohms between the test points: Signal terminal 3 & Ground terminal 4 - Pressed
    • If 3 ohms or greater 

      Replace the component: A24 Door Handle Assembly

    • If less than 3 ohms 
  5. All OK.
