Removal Procedure

WARNING:

Refer to Brake Fluid Irritant Warning .

  1. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Vehicle Lifting and Jacking Caution
  2. Remove the rear tire and wheel assembly. Refer to Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation
  3. Clean all dirt and foreign material from the brake hose ends and the brake pipe fitting.
  4. Fig 1: Rear Brake Rear Pipe, Fittings, Rear Brake Cylinder And Rear Brake Hose

  5. Remove Rear Brake Rear Pipe Fitting (1) @ Rear Brake Hose (2)

    Cap the brake pipe fitting to prevent brake fluid loss and contamination.

  6. Remove Rear Brake Rear Pipe Fitting (3) @ Rear Brake Cylinder (4)
  7. Remove Rear Brake Rear Pipe (5) @ Vehicle
