Removal Procedure

  1. Turn the ignition switch to the OFF position.
  2. Apply and release the brake pedal several times until the pedal becomes firm to deplete the power brake booster vacuum reserve.
  3. Disconnect the electrical connector from the power brake booster vacuum sensor.

  5. Compress the vacuum hose retaining clamp (1) at the power brake booster vacuum sensor side and slide 50 mm (2 in) along the vacuum hose (2).
  6. Disconnect the vacuum hose (2) from the brake booster vacuum sensor.

  8. Remove the power brake booster vacuum sensor (1) from the power brake booster.
