Removal Procedure

- Turn the ignition switch to the OFF position.
- Apply and release the brake pedal several times until the pedal becomes firm to deplete the power brake booster vacuum reserve.
- Disconnect the electrical connector from the power brake booster vacuum sensor.
- Compress the vacuum hose retaining clamp (1) at the power brake booster vacuum sensor side and slide 50 mm (2 in) along the vacuum hose (2).
- Disconnect the vacuum hose (2) from the brake booster vacuum sensor.
- Remove the power brake booster vacuum sensor (1) from the power brake booster.
