Installation Procedure

  1. Install the brake master cylinder reservoir, if removed. Refer to Master Cylinder Reservoir Replacement (LHD) .
  2. Bench bleed the brake master cylinder. Refer to Master Cylinder Bench Bleeding .

  4. Install the brake master cylinder (1) to the power vacuum brake booster.

    CAUTION:

    Refer to Fastener Caution .

  6. Install the brake master cylinder nuts (1) and tighten to 13 N.m (115 lb in).
  7. Install the EBCM/BPMV and bracket assembly. Refer to Electronic Brake Control Module with Brake Pressure Modulator Valve Replacement .
  8. Install the brake pressure modulator valve primary pipe. Refer to Brake Pressure Modulator Valve Primary Pipe Replacement (LHD) .
  9. Install the brake pressure modulator valve secondary pipe. Refer to Brake Pressure Modulator Valve Secondary Pipe Replacement (LHD) .
  10. Install the battery tray. Refer to Battery Tray Replacement (without Engine Block Heater)Battery Tray Replacement (with Engine Block Heater) .
  11. Install the engine control module. Refer to Engine Control Module Replacement .
  12. Install the battery. Refer to Battery Replacement .
  13. Bleed the hydraulic brake system. Refer to Hydraulic Brake System Bleeding (Manual) Hydraulic Brake System Bleeding (Pressure) .
