Installation Procedure

  1. Assemble the brake hose fitting banjo bolt (1) with 2 new copper brake hose sealing washers (2) to the brake hose (3).
  2. CAUTION:

    Refer to Fastener Caution .

  3. Install the brake hose assembly to the caliper and tighten the brake hose fitting banjo bolt to 40 N.m (30 lb ft).

  5. Install the brake hose (1) to the strut mounted brake hose retaining bracket (2).

  7. Install the brake hose to the brake hose mounting bracket on the body frame.
  8. Install the brake hose retaining clip (1) to the brake hose mounting bracket.

  10. Connect the brake pipe fitting (1) to the brake hose (2) and tighten to 18 N.m (13 lb ft).
  11. Bleed the hydraulic brake system. Refer to Hydraulic Brake System Bleeding (Manual) Hydraulic Brake System Bleeding (Pressure) .
  12. Install the tire and wheel assembly. Refer to Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation .
  13. Lower the vehicle.
