Installation Procedure
WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2017 Chevrolet Spark. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
- Assemble the brake hose fitting banjo bolt (1) with 2 new copper brake hose sealing washers (2) to the brake hose (3).
- Install the brake hose assembly to the caliper and tighten the brake hose fitting banjo bolt to 40 N.m (30 lb ft).
- Install the brake hose (1) to the strut mounted brake hose retaining bracket (2).
- Install the brake hose to the brake hose mounting bracket on the body frame.
- Install the brake hose retaining clip (1) to the brake hose mounting bracket.
- Connect the brake pipe fitting (1) to the brake hose (2) and tighten to 18 N.m (13 lb ft).
- Bleed the hydraulic brake system. Refer to Hydraulic Brake System Bleeding (Manual) Hydraulic Brake System Bleeding (Pressure) .
- Install the tire and wheel assembly. Refer to Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation .
- Lower the vehicle.
