Removal Procedure

CAUTION:

- Remove the air cleaner assembly. Refer to Air Cleaner Assembly Replacement .
- Remove the air cleaner outlet duct. Refer to Air Cleaner Outlet Duct Replacement (L5Q)Air Cleaner Outlet Duct Replacement (LV7) .
- Detach the push clip (1) from the front compartment side rail and detach the fuel feed pipe (3) from the fuel feed pipe clip (2).
- Remove the battery. Refer to Battery Replacement .
- Remove the engine control module. Refer to Engine Control Module Replacement .
- Remove the battery tray. Refer to Battery Tray Replacement (without Engine Block Heater)Battery Tray Replacement (with Engine Block Heater) .
- Disconnect the electrical connector (1) from the EBCM and BPMV assembly (2).
- Clean all dirt and foreign material from the brake pipe fittings.
- Disconnect the brake pressure modulator valve secondary pipe fitting (1) from the master cylinder and drain the brake fluid out of the master cylinder.
- Disconnect the brake pressure modulator valve secondary pipe fitting (1) from the brake pressure modulator valve.
- Detach the brake pressure modulator secondary pipe (1) from the brake pipe clips (2).
- Remove the brake pressure modulator valve secondary pipe (1) from the vehicle.
