Removal Procedure

Refer to Brake Fluid Irritant Warning .

  1. Remove the battery. Refer to Battery Replacement .
  2. Remove the engine control module. Refer to Engine Control Module Replacement .
  3. Remove the battery tray. Refer to Battery Tray Replacement (without Engine Block Heater)Battery Tray Replacement (with Engine Block Heater) .
  4. Clean all dirt and foreign material from the brake pipe fittings.

  6. Disconnect the brake pressure modulator valve primary pipe fitting (1) from the master cylinder and drain the brake fluid out of the master cylinder.
  7. Disconnect the brake pressure modulator valve primary pipe fitting (2) from the brake pressure modulator valve.
  8. Remove the brake pressure modulator valve primary pipe (3) from the vehicle.
