Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the exhaust muffler. Refer to Exhaust Muffler Replacement (LV7) .
  2. Remove the lower oil pan. Refer to Lower Oil Pan Replacement (LV7) .
  3. Disconnect the oil level sensor connector (1) and oil pump connector (2).

  4. Remove the transmission side cover and engine starter bracket bolts (1).

  5. Remove the transmission side cover (2).
  6. Remove the engine oil filter (1), using suitable tool.

  7. Remove the 2 upper oil pan bolts (1), 11 upper oil pan bolts (2) and transmission lower bolt (3).

  8. Remove the upper oil pan (4).
  9. Remove the engine oil level indicator control module wiring harness bolt (1) and remove the engine oil level indicator control module wiring harness from the upper oil pan.
