Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the oil pan. Refer to Oil Pan Replacement (L5Q) .
  2. Remove the oil pump drive chain cover bolt (1) and remove the oil pump drive chain cover (2).

  3. Release the tension using the suitable tool.

  4. Remove the 3 crankshaft oil deflector bolts (1) and 2 crankshaft oil deflector bolts (2).

  5. Remove the crankshaft oil deflector (3).
  6. Remove the oil pump bolts (1, 4) and remove the oil pump (2) with 2 oil pump gasket (3).

    NOTE: Oil pump is removed/installed as an assembly with the oil pump sprocket.
