Installation Procedure

  1. Release the tension using the suitable tool.

  2. Install the oil pump (2) with 2 oil pump gasket (3).

    NOTE: Oil pump is removed/installed as an assembly with the oil pump sprocket.
  3. Tighten the oil pump bolts (1) in sequence to 25 N.m (18 lb ft).
    CAUTION: Refer to Fastener Caution .
    NOTE: Tighten the bolts in sequence.
  4. Tighten the oil pump bolts (4) in sequence to 10 N.m (89 lb in).
  5. Install the crankshaft oil deflector (3).

  6. Install the 3 crankshaft oil deflector bolts (1) and tighten to 10 N.m (89 lb in).
    NOTE: Tighten the bolts in sequence.
  7. Install the 2 crankshaft oil deflector bolts (2) and tighten to 25 N.m (18 lb ft).
  8. Install the oil pump drive chain cover (2) and tighten to 10 N.m (89 lb in).

  9. Install the oil pan. Refer to Oil Pan Replacement (L5Q) .
