Dissimilar Fluid

  1. If the transmission uses fluid other than DEXRON @VI fluid, blow out residual fluid from cooler and cooler lines with compressed air.
  2. Connect the oil cooler supply line to the transmission.
  3. Put the return line in waste oil container.
  4. Fill transmission with 6.38 liters (6.75 quarts) of transmission fluid.
    CAUTION: Do not run engine for more than 10 seconds or transmission damage may occur.
  5. Run engine at idle for 10 seconds.
  6. Connect the oil cooler return line to the transmission.
