Transmission Fluid Drain

CAUTION: Use correct transmission fluid only. Failure to use the proper fluid may result in transmission internal damage.
  1. The vehicle must be level.
  2. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle .
  3. Remove the drain plug (1), drain plug gasket (2) and overflow tube (3) and drain transmission fluid into a suitable container.

  4. Install the overflow tube (3) and tighten to 15 N.m (11 lb ft)
    CAUTION: Refer to Fastener Caution .
  5. Install the drain plug (1) with the OLD drain plug gasket (2).
