Torque Converter Replacement

Preliminary Procedures Remove the transmission. Refer to Transmission Replacement . Place a drain pan under the vehicle.
1	Torque Converter Procedure Mate the groove of torque converter (b) to the drive sprocket hole (c). Install the torque converter firmly by rotating. Measure the dimension from the converter housing to the torque converter and confirm it is in indicated dimension. Measure more than 2 portions and use the average value. The dimension is (a) 11.35 mm (0.45 in). NOTE: Be careful not to scratch bush located inside of torque convertor sleeve when Torque convertor is removed or installed.

Procedure

Install the torque converter firmly by rotating.
Measure the dimension from the converter housing to the torque converter and confirm it is in indicated dimension. Measure more than 2 portions and use the average value. The dimension is (a) 11.35 mm (0.45 in).
