Circuit/System Verification

  1. Ignition OFF and all vehicle systems OFF.
    NOTE: It may take up to 2 min for all vehicle systems to power down before an accurate ground or low reference circuit continuity test can be performed.
  2. Ignition ON engine OFF.
  3. Verify DTC P0885 is not set.
    • If not set 
  4. Verify that DTC P17C9 is only set as a history DTC.
    • If set as current 
    1. Replace the component: K71 Transmission Control Module.
    2. Perform the Transmission Service Fast Learn procedure.
    3. Perform the Long Term Memory Reset procedure. (If equipped)
  5. Clear DTC P17C9 from current and history.
  6. Operate the vehicle within the Conditions for Running the DTC. You may also operate the vehicle within the conditions that you observed from the Freeze Frame/Failure Records data.
  7. Verify DTC P17C9 is not set.
    • If the DTC sets 

      Replace the component:Q8 Control Solenoid Valve Assembly

    • If the DTC does not set 
  8. All OK.
