This DTC will set when the transmission assembly or the Q8 Control Solenoid Valve Assembly is replaced.
If the DTC P1790 does not clear after performing the: Transmission Service Fast Learn Procedure (MR8) , the first time - perform the procedure again.
Proper execution of the Transmission Solenoid Valves Calibration Preset procedure can be confirmed by the driver by verifying acceptable garage shifts into and out of Park, Reverse and Drive.
