Circuit/System Verification

  1. Verify that all of the following scan tool parameters: = OK
    • Pressure Control Solenoid Valve 1 Control Circuit High Voltage (L-363) tool displays Pressure Control Solenoid Valve 1 High Voltage Test Status
    • Pressure Control Solenoid Valve 1 Control Circuit Low Voltage Test Status
    • Pressure Control Solenoid Valve 1 Control Circuit Open Test Status
    • Pressure Control Solenoid Valve 2 Control Circuit High Voltage Test Status
    • Pressure Control Solenoid Valve 2 Control Circuit Low Voltage Test Status
    • Pressure Control Solenoid Valve 2 Control Circuit Open Test Status (L-367) tool displays Pressure Control Solenoid Valve 2 Open Circuit Test Status
    • Pressure Control Solenoid Valve 3 Control Circuit High Voltage Test Status
    • Pressure Control Solenoid Valve 3 Control Circuit Low Voltage Test Status
    • Pressure Control Solenoid Valve 3 Control Circuit Open Test Status (L372) tool displays Pressure Control Solenoid Valve 3 Open Circuit Test Status
    • Pressure Control Solenoid Valve 4 Control Circuit High Voltage Test Status
    • Pressure Control Solenoid Valve 4 Control Circuit Low Voltage Test Status
    • Pressure Control Solenoid Valve 4 Control Circuit Open Test Status
    • If any of the parameters do NOT display OK 

      Refer to Circuit/System Testing

    • If all of the parameters display OK 
  2. Verify that the following scan tool parameters track each other as engine RPM changes. (P2763 or P2764 only)
    • Actual TCC Pressure Control Solenoid Valve Current
    • TCC Pressure Control Solenoid Valve Current Command
    • If the parameters do not track each other as engine speed RPM changes 

      Refer to: Circuit/System Testing

    • If the parameters do track each other as engine speed RPM changes 
  3. Verify DTC P0961-P0963, P0965-P0967, P0970, P0971, P2720, P2721, P2763, P2764 is only set as a history DTC.
    • If any of the DTCs are set as current 

      Refer to Circuit/System Testing

  4. Clear DTC P0961-P0963, P0965-P0967, P0970, P0971, P2720, P2721, P2763, P2764 from history.
  5. Operate the vehicle within the Conditions for Running the DTC. You may also operate the vehicle within the conditions that you observed from the Freeze Frame/Failure Records data.
  6. Verify DTC P0961-P0963, P0965-P0967, P0970, P0971, P2720, P2721, P2763, P2764 is not set.
    • If any of the DTCs are set 

      Refer to Circuit/System Testing

    • If none of the DTCs are set 
  7. All OK.
