Circuit/System Verification

- Verify fuse F23 is not open, Fuse Block - Underhood.
- If the fuse is open
Test the Run/Crank Ignition 1 voltage circuit for a short to ground. Refer to Testing for Short to Ground .
- If the fuse is not open
- If the fuse is open
- Ignition ON, engine OFF.
- Verify P0562 or P0563 is not set.
- If the DTC is set
Refer to DTC P0562 or P0563.
- If the DTC is not set
- If the DTC is set
- Engine running. Transmission in Park. Brake NOT applied.
- Verify while driving at low speed that the scan tool Secondary Pulley Speed parameter varies with the engine speed and does not drop out. The Secondary Pulley Speed parameter should be 30 - 60% of the engine speed parameter.
- If the Secondary Pulley Speed does not vary with Primary Pulley Speed or drops out
Refer to Circuit/System Testing.
- If the Secondary Pulley Speed varies with engine speed and does not drop out
- If the Secondary Pulley Speed does not vary with Primary Pulley Speed or drops out
- Verify P0792 is only set as a history DTC.
- If the DTC is set as current

- If the DTC is set as history
- If the DTC is set as current
- Visually inspect each connector terminal of the B14B Transmission Turbine Speed Sensor/Secondary Pulley Speed Sensor connector and the K71 Transmission Control Module for damage or corrosion. Repair as necessary.NOTE: After inspection, apply Nyogel lubricant 760G to each connector terminal. Ensure each connector and CPA is correctly seated.
- Operate the vehicle within the Conditions for Running the DTC. You may also operate the vehicle within the conditions that you observed from the Freeze Frame/Failure Records data. The DTC should not set.
- If the DTC sets

- If the DTC does not set
- If the DTC sets
- All OK.
