Circuit/System Verification

- Verify the fuse is not open: F06 Fuse-X50A Fuse Block - Underhood
- If the fuse is open
Test the Transmission Control Module Clutch Solenoid Enable A circuit, 5V Reference circuit and all components connected to the 5V Reference circuit for a short to ground.
- If the fuse is not open
- If the fuse is open
- Ignition On - Engine Off
- Verify DTC P0562, P0563 is not set.
- If the DTC is set - Refer to DTC P0562, P0563
- If the DTC is not set
- Engine Running & Transmission in Park & Brake pedal not pressed.
- Verify the scan tool parameter: Primary Pulley Speedvaries with engine RPM and does not drop out.
- If the Primary Pulley Speed does not vary with engine speed or drops out
Refer to Circuit/System Testing
- If the Primary Pulley Speed varies with engine speed and does not drop out
- If the Primary Pulley Speed does not vary with engine speed or drops out
- Verify DTC P0717 is only set as a history DTC.
- If set as a current DTC
Refer to Circuit/System Testing
- If the DTC is set as history
- If set as a current DTC
- Perform the following procedure/test: Testing for Intermittent Conditions and Poor Connections - Repair as necessary
- Operate the vehicle within the Conditions for Running the DTC. You may also operate the vehicle within the conditions that you observed from the Freeze Frame/Failure Records data.
- If the DTC sets - Refer to Circuit/System Testing.
- If the DTC does not set
- All OK.
