B13 Transmission Fluid Temperature Sensor

  1. Disconnect the electrical connector:@Q8 Control Solenoid Valve Assembly
  2. Test for the resistance listed below between the test points: Signal circuit terminal 12 & Low Reference circuit terminal 18
    NOTE:
    • When test probing harness terminals, it is imperative to use the proper test probe from the most current version of the J-35616  GM-Approved Terminal Test Kit. Use of an improper test probe may deform the terminal, resulting in intermittent open conditions.
    • Testing for Step 2 is performed on the Q8 Control Solenoid Valve Assembly connector using the GY probe J 35616-3.
    • If the resistance is not within range 

      Replace the component: Q8 Control Solenoid Valve Assembly

    • If the resistance is within range 
  3. All OK.
