Circuit/System Verification
WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2017 Chevrolet Spark. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
- Verify the correct fluid level: Transmission Fluid Level and Condition Check .
- Verify that DTC P0111, P0112, P0113, P0114, P0117, P0118 or P0119 is not set.
- If DTC P0111, P0112, P0113, P0114, P0117, P0118 or P0119 is set
Diagnose that DTC first. Refer to Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) List - Vehicle .
- If DTC P0111, P0112, P0113, P0114, P0117, P0118 or P0119 is not set
- If DTC P0111, P0112, P0113, P0114, P0117, P0118 or P0119 is set
- Verify the Transmission Fluid Temperature parameter increases greater than 2°C (3.5°F) after operating the vehicle at 64 km/h (40 mph) for 10 minutes.NOTE: During a road test, the transmission fluid temperature should steadily increase to a normal operating temperature and then stabilize.
- If the temperature does not increase greater than 2°C (3.5°F)
Refer to Circuit/System Testing
- If the temperature does increase greater than 2°C (3.5°F)
- If the temperature does not increase greater than 2°C (3.5°F)
- Verify that the transmission fluid temperature parameter is at or near the engine coolant temperature parameter.
- If the transmission fluid temperature parameter is NOT at or near the engine coolant temperature parameter
Refer to Circuit/System Testing
- If the transmission fluid temperature parameter IS at or near the engine coolant temperature parameter
- If the transmission fluid temperature parameter is NOT at or near the engine coolant temperature parameter
- Verify DTC P0711, P0712 or P0713 is only set as a history DTC.
- If any of the DTCs are set as current
Refer to Circuit/System Testing
- If any of the DTCs are only set as history
Refer to Testing for Intermittent Conditions and Poor Connections
- If any of the DTCs are set as current
- Clear DTCs
- Operate the vehicle within the Conditions for Running the DTC. You may also operate the vehicle within the conditions that you observed from the Freeze Frame/Failure Records data.
- If any of the DTCs are set
Refer to Circuit/System Testing
- If none of the DTCs are set
- If any of the DTCs are set
- All OK.
