Circuit/System Verification

  1. Verify the correct fluid level: Transmission Fluid Level and Condition Check .
  2. Verify that DTC P0111, P0112, P0113, P0114, P0117, P0118 or P0119 is not set.
    • If DTC P0111, P0112, P0113, P0114, P0117, P0118 or P0119 is not set 
  3. Verify the Transmission Fluid Temperature parameter increases greater than 2°C (3.5°F) after operating the vehicle at 64 km/h (40 mph) for 10 minutes.
    NOTE: During a road test, the transmission fluid temperature should steadily increase to a normal operating temperature and then stabilize.
    • If the temperature does not increase greater than 2°C (3.5°F) 

      Refer to Circuit/System Testing

    • If the temperature does increase greater than 2°C (3.5°F) 
  4. Verify that the transmission fluid temperature parameter is at or near the engine coolant temperature parameter.
    • If the transmission fluid temperature parameter is NOT at or near the engine coolant temperature parameter 

      Refer to Circuit/System Testing

    • If the transmission fluid temperature parameter IS at or near the engine coolant temperature parameter 
  5. Verify DTC P0711, P0712 or P0713 is only set as a history DTC.
    • If any of the DTCs are set as current 

      Refer to Circuit/System Testing

  6. Clear DTCs
  7. Operate the vehicle within the Conditions for Running the DTC. You may also operate the vehicle within the conditions that you observed from the Freeze Frame/Failure Records data.
    • If any of the DTCs are set 

      Refer to Circuit/System Testing

    • If none of the DTCs are set 
  8. All OK.
