Circuit/System Verification

- Ignition - On / Vehicle - In Service Mode & Engine - Off & Transmission in Park
- Verify the correct adjustment: Manual Shift Shaft/Park/Neutral Position Switch - Refer to Manual Shift Shaft Position Switch Adjustment
- If not the specified state

- Verify the correct adjustment: Range Selector Lever Cable - Refer to Range Selector Lever Cable Adjustment

- Operate the component: S3 Transmission Shift Lever
Verify the scan tool parameter: Transmission Range Switch= S3 Transmission Shift Lever
- If not the specified state

- If the specified state

- Verify DTC P0705, P0706, P0851 is only set as a history DTC.
- If set as a current DTC
Refer to Circuit/System Testing
- If the DTC is set as history
Refer to:Testing for Intermittent Conditions and Poor Connections
- If set as a current DTC
- Clear DTCs
- Operate the vehicle within the Conditions for Running the DTC. You may also operate the vehicle within the conditions that you observed from the Freeze Frame/Failure Records data.
Verify the DTC does not set.
- If the DTC sets
