Circuit/System Verification

  1. Ignition/Vehicle & All vehicle systems - Off
    NOTE: It may take up to 2 min for all vehicle systems to power down before an accurate ground or low reference circuit continuity test can be performed.
  2. Ignition - On / Vehicle - In Service Mode & Engine - Off
  3. Verify DTC P0885 is not set.
    • If the DTC is not set 
  4. Verify DTC P0602 is not set.
    • If the DTC is set 
    1. Program the control module: K71 Transmission Control Module
    2. Ignition/Vehicle & All vehicle systems - Off
    3. Ignition - On / Vehicle - In Service Mode & Engine - Off
    4. Verify DTC P0602 is not set.
      • If the DTC sets

        Replace the component: K71 Transmission Control Module

      • If the DTC is not set
    5. All OK.
    • If the DTC is not set
  5. Verify DTC P0601, P0602, P0603, P0604, P0604 is only set as a history DTC.
    • If any of the DTCs are set as current 

      Replace the component: K71 Transmission Control Module

    • If none of the DTCs are set 
  6. Clear DTCs
  7. Operate the vehicle within the Conditions for Running the DTC. You may also operate the vehicle within the conditions that you observed from the Freeze Frame/Failure Records data.
  8. Verify DTC P0601, P0602, P0603, P0604, P0606 is not set.
    • If any of the DTCs are set 

      Replace the component: K71 Transmission Control Module

    • If none of the DTCs are set 
  9. All OK.
