Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the battery. Refer to Battery Replacement .
  2. Remove the engine control module. Refer to Engine Control Module Replacement .
  3. Remove the battery tray. Refer to Battery Tray Replacement (without Engine Block Heater)Battery Tray Replacement (with Engine Block Heater) .
  4. Install the engine support fixture. Refer to Engine Support Fixture (LV7)Engine Support Fixture (L5Q) .
  5. Remove and DISCARD the transmission mount bolts (1).

  6. Remove the transmission mount frame side bracket nut (1).

  7. Remove the transmission mount frame side bracket bolts (1).

  8. Remove the transmission mount (2) from the vehicle.
