Installation Procedure

  1. Install the selector and shift lever cable bracket (2) to the transmission

  2. Install the selector and shift lever cable bracket bolts (1) to the transmission and tighten to 20 N.m (15 lb ft).
    CAUTION: Refer to Fastener Caution .
  3. Clip in the backup lamp switch wiring harness retainer from the selector and shift lever cable bracket (2).
  4. Install the shift lever and selector lever cable (2) to the selector and shift lever cable bracket (4).

  5. Install the shift lever and selector lever cable (1) to the shift control housing (3).
  6. Install the battery tray. Refer to Battery Tray Replacement (without Engine Block Heater)Battery Tray Replacement (with Engine Block Heater) .
