Input Shaft Disassemble

Special Tools 

J-22912-B  Gear, Bearing Remover

For equivalent regional tools, refer to Special Tools .

1. Remove the gear unit. Refer to Transmission Disassemble .

2. Position the bearing to the J-22912-B  gear, bearing remover (2) to the right bearing.
3. Remove the input shaft right bearing (1) using a press.
4. Position the 4th gear to the J-22912-B  gear, bearing remover (4).

5. Remove the 5th gear spacer (1), left bearing (2) and 4th gear (3) with the press.
6. Remove the 4th gear bearing (1).

7. Remove the 4th gear synchronizer ring (2).
8. Remove the 3rd-4th synchronizer circlip (3).
9. Position the 3rd gear to the J-22912-B  gear, bearing remover (3).

10. Remove the 3rd-4th synchronizer hub assembly (1) synchronizer ring and 3rd gear (2) with the press.
11. Push the hub (1) from the 3rd-4th synchronizer hub assembly.

12. Remove the synchronizer sleeve (2) and key unit (3).
13. Remove the input shaft 3rd gear bearing (1).
