Installation Procedure

  1. Install the clutch master cylinder (1) into the brake pedal assembly.

    NOTE: An audible click will be heard when the clip (arrows) is correctly seated.
  2. Connect the push rod retainer (2) to the clutch pedal.
  3. Install the clutch pedal position sensor. Refer to Clutch Pedal Position Sensor Replacement .
  4. Install the clutch pedal return spring. Refer to Clutch Pedal Return Spring Replacement (Right Hand Drive) .
  5. Install the 2 clutch master cylinder mount nuts (1) and tighten to 22 N.m (16 lb ft).

    CAUTION: Refer to Fastener Caution .
  6. Connect the clutch actuator cylinder front pipe (2) to the clutch master cylinder.

  7. Install the retaining clip (1).
  8. Install the clutch master cylinder reservoir hose to the clutch master cylinder. Refer to Clutch Master Cylinder Reservoir Hose Replacement (Right Hand Drive) .
  9. Install the throttle body assembly from the engine. Refer to Throttle Body Assembly Replacement (L5Q)Throttle Body Assembly Replacement (LV7) .
  10. Bleed the hydraulic clutch system. Refer to Hydraulic Clutch System Bleeding .
