Removal Procedure

  1. Recover the refrigerant. Refer to Refrigerant Recovery and Recharging (R-134a) Refrigerant Recovery and Recharging (R-1234yf) .
  2. Remove the front compartment insulator. Refer to Front Compartment Insulator Replacement .
  3. Remove the air conditioning receiver and dehydrator plug (4).

    NOTE: Cap all A/C components immediately to prevent system contamination.
  4. Remove and discard the sealing washers (3).
  5. Remove the refrigerant desiccant (2) from the condenser (1).
