Heater Outlet Hose Replacement

Preliminary Procedures

  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection .
  2. Drain the cooling system. Refer to Cooling System Draining and Filling .
  3. Unclip and reposition the heater inlet hose clamp from the water outlet assembly to access to the heater outlet hose clamp at the water outlet assembly.
  4. Disconnect the engine coolant temperature sensor connector.
  5. Disengage the brake booster vacuum hose.
1 Heater Outlet Hose Clamp (Qty: 4)
NOTE: Disengage the hose clamps first from the heater core and the thermostat.
2 Heater Outlet Hose Assembly

Procedure

  1. Disengage the hose clamps from the heater core and thermostat first.
  2. Disengage the radiator surge tank outlet hose from the 3 way connector.
  3. Remove the heater outlet hoses as an assembly.
  4. Detach the heater outlet hoses and clamps form the 3 way connector.
