Removal Procedure

  1. Recover the refrigerant. Refer to Refrigerant Recovery and Recharging (R-134a) Refrigerant Recovery and Recharging (R-1234yf) .
  2. Remove the air cleaner assembly. Refer to Air Cleaner Assembly Replacement .
  3. Remove the air cleaner outlet duct. Refer to Air Cleaner Outlet Duct Replacement (L5Q)Air Cleaner Outlet Duct Replacement (LV7) .
  4. Remove the A/C evaporator hose assembly mounting bracket nut from the wheelhouse panel side. Refer to Air Conditioning Evaporator Hose Assembly Replacement (L5Q) Air Conditioning Evaporator Hose Assembly Replacement (LV7) .
  5. Remove the A/C evaporator hose assembly to TXV nut (1).

  6. Disconnect the A/C evaporator hose (2) from A/C evaporator TXV.
  7. Remove the 2 A/C TXV bolts (3).
  8. Remove the TXV (4).
