Installation Procedure

  1. Install A/C TXV (4) and the 2 A/C TXV bolts (3) and tighten to 3.5 N.m (31 lb in).

    CAUTION: Refer to Fastener Caution .
    NOTE: Use NEW O-ring seals. Refer to Air Conditioning O-Ring Seal Replacement .
  2. Connect the air conditioning evaporator hose (2) to A/C evaporator TXV (4).
  3. Install the A/C evaporator hose assembly to TXV nut (1) and tighten to 22 N.m (16 lb ft).
  4. Install the A/C evaporator hose assembly mounting bracket nut from the wheelhouse panel side. Refer to Air Conditioning Evaporator Hose Assembly Replacement (L5Q) Air Conditioning Evaporator Hose Assembly Replacement (LV7) .
  5. Install the air cleaner outlet duct. Refer to Air Cleaner Outlet Duct Replacement (L5Q)Air Cleaner Outlet Duct Replacement (LV7) .
  6. Install the air cleaner assembly. Refer to Air Cleaner Assembly Replacement .
  7. Evacuate and charge the refrigerant system. Refer to Refrigerant Recovery and Recharging (R-134a) Refrigerant Recovery and Recharging (R-1234yf) .
  8. Leak test the fittings using the GE 39400-A  detector.
