Removal Procedure

- Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle
- Exhaust Muffler - Remove - Exhaust Muffler Replacement (L5Q) Exhaust Muffler Replacement (LV7)
- Place a suitable adjustable jack under the fuel tank.
- Fuel Tank Strap Bolt (1) - Remove [2x]
CAUTION: Do not bend the fuel tank straps. Bending the fuel tank straps may cause damage to the straps.
- Fuel Tank Strap (2) - Remove
- Fuel Tank Heat Shield Retainer (1) - Remove [3x]
- Fuel Tank Heat Shield (2) - Remove
