Installation Procedure

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2017 Chevrolet Spark. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. After comparing the new with the old harness install the harness on the tie bar.
    • Now check that there is no rotation and fix the new body wiring harness.
    • Use new cable straps and pins. Connect all electrical connectors.
    • Take care for the correct counterpart and the pin assignment.
    • Use the pictures for orientation.
  2. Install the body control module. Refer to Body Control Module Replacement .
  3. Install the instrument panel lower trim panel. Refer to Instrument Panel Lower Trim Panel Replacement .
  4. Install the instrument panel upper trim panel. Refer to Instrument Panel Upper Trim Panel Replacement .
  5. Install the battery negative cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection .
  6. Close the hood.
  7. Install the MDI, turn on the ignition and read out the trouble codes. Delete them and read out the trouble codes again.
  8. Program the volatile memory and then check all electrical functions and make a test run.
