Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the instrument panel upper trim panel (1). Refer to Instrument Panel Upper Trim Panel Replacement .

  2. Remove the instrument panel lower trim panel screws (1) from the left side of the IP.

  3. Remove the instrument panel lower trim panel screws (1) from the driver leg room.

  4. Remove the instrument panel lower trim panel screw (1) and nuts (2) from the center of the IP.

  5. Remove the instrument panel compartment door latch striker bolt (1) and instrument panel lower trim panel screws (1) from the IP compartment side.

  6. Remove the instrument panel lower trim panel screws (1) from the right side of IP.

  7. Note the location and routing of the instrument panel electrical harness assembly, to ensure proper reinstallation.
  8. Disconnect the fasteners securing the instrument panel electrical harness assembly to the instrument panel and position out of the way.
  9. With the aid of an assistant lift the instrument panel lower trim panel (1) rearward and upward from the IP tie bar assembly.

  10. Remove the instrument panel upper trim panel from the vehicle.
  11. Transfer all necessary components.
