Removal Procedure

- Remove the instrument panel upper trim panel (1). Refer to Instrument Panel Upper Trim Panel Replacement .
- Remove the instrument panel lower trim panel screws (1) from the left side of the IP.
- Remove the instrument panel lower trim panel screws (1) from the driver leg room.
- Remove the instrument panel lower trim panel screw (1) and nuts (2) from the center of the IP.
- Remove the instrument panel compartment door latch striker bolt (1) and instrument panel lower trim panel screws (1) from the IP compartment side.
- Remove the instrument panel lower trim panel screws (1) from the right side of IP.
- Note the location and routing of the instrument panel electrical harness assembly, to ensure proper reinstallation.
- Disconnect the fasteners securing the instrument panel electrical harness assembly to the instrument panel and position out of the way.
- With the aid of an assistant lift the instrument panel lower trim panel (1) rearward and upward from the IP tie bar assembly.
- Remove the instrument panel upper trim panel from the vehicle.
- Transfer all necessary components.
