Removal Procedure

- Relieve the fuel pressure. Refer to Fuel Pressure Relief .
- Open the fuel filler door and filler cap.
- Drain the fuel tank. Refer to Fuel Tank Draining .
- Remove the right rear tire and wheel assembly. Refer to Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation .
- Remove the 3 fuel tank filler pipe bolts (1).
- Lift and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle .
- Remove the fuel tank filler pipe ground bolt (2).
- Remove the fuel tank filler pipe ground (1).
- Remove the fuel tank filler pipe bracket bolt (3).
WARNING: Do not breathe the air through the EVAP component tubes or hoses. The fuel vapors inside the EVAP components may cause personal injury.
- Remove the clamp (4).
- Remove the fuel tank filler pipe clamp (1).
- Remove the fuel tank filler pipe (2) from the tank.
- Remove the fuel tank filler hose (1) from the fuel tank filler pipe (2).
