Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the air cleaner assembly. Refer to Air Cleaner Assembly Replacement .
  2. Disconnect the positive crankcase ventilation tube connector (1) from the air cleaner outlet duct. Refer to Plastic Collar Quick Connect Fitting Service .

  3. Loosen the air cleaner outlet duct clamp (1) and position the air cleaner outlet duct (3) away from the engine.

  4. Using a suitable tool, cut a slot in the tamper-resistant positive crankcase ventilation (PCV) bolt head (2) and remove with a flat-bladed tool. Discard the bolt (2).
  5. Remove the air cleaner outlet duct assembly (3) with PCV tube and valves from the engine. Discard the assembly (3).
