Installation Procedure

  1. Install a NEW thermostat bypass pipe gasket (1).

  2. Install the thermostat bypass pipe (3).
  3. Install the 2 thermostat bypass pipe bolts (2) and tighten to 10 N.m (89 lb in).
    CAUTION: Refer to Fastener Caution .
  4. Install the thermostat bypass pipe bolt 1) and tighten to 10 N.m (89 lb in).

  5. Install the clamp (2).
  6. Install the catalytic converter. Refer to Catalytic Converter Replacement (L5Q) .
  7. Fill the cooling system. Refer to Cooling System Draining and Filling .
