Removal Procedure

  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection .

  2. Drain the cooling system. Refer to Cooling System Draining and Filling .
  3. Disconnect the electrical connector around the hose (2).
  4. Unclip the wiring harness clip around the hose (2).
  5. Loosen the radiator outlet hose upper clamp (1).
  6. Raise the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle .
  7. Remove the front compartment insulator. Refer to Front Compartment Insulator Replacement .

  8. Loosen the radiator outlet hose lower clamp (1) using GE-47622  flexible hose clamp plier.
  9. Remove the radiator outlet hose (2) from the radiator.
  10. Remove the radiator outlet hose (2) from the water pump pipe.
