Circuit/System Verification

- Ignition OFF, gear shift selector in PARK, ignition ON.
- Verify that S39 Ignition Switch can be rotated to the ON position.
- If the ignition switch cannot be rotated to the ON position.
Refer to Ignition Key Cannot Be Inserted, Rotated, or Removed from the Ignition Lock Cylinder .
- If the ignition switch can be rotated to the ON position
- If the ignition switch cannot be rotated to the ON position.
- Verify the scan tool body control module In Park Switch Status parameter changes between On and Off when shifting the S3 Transmission Shift Lever in and out of Park.
- If the parameter does not change

- Ignition ON, gear shift selector in NEUTRAL, ignition OFF.
- Verify that the S39 Ignition Switch cannot be rotated to the LOCK position.
- If the ignition switch can be rotated to the LOCK position and Ignition Key Cannot Be Inserted, Rotated, or Removed from the Ignition Lock Cylinder has NOT been performed
Refer to Ignition Key Cannot Be Inserted, Rotated, or Removed from the Ignition Lock Cylinder .
- If the ignition switch can be rotated to the LOCK position and Ignition Key Cannot Be Inserted, Rotated, or Removed from the Ignition Lock Cylinder has been performed

- If the ignition switch cannot be rotated to the LOCK position
- If the ignition switch can be rotated to the LOCK position and Ignition Key Cannot Be Inserted, Rotated, or Removed from the Ignition Lock Cylinder has NOT been performed
- All OK.
