Installation Procedure

    Release the tension using the suitable tool.

    NOTE:

    Oil pump is removed/installed as an assembly with the oil pump sprocket.

    Install the oil pump (2) with 2 oil pump gasket (3).

    3. CAUTION:

    Refer to Fastener Caution .

    NOTE:

    Tighten the bolts in crisscross sequence.

  3. Tighten the oil pump bolts (1) in crisscross sequence to 25 N.m (18 lb ft).
  4. Tighten the oil pump bolts (4) in crisscross sequence to 10 N.m (89 lb in).

    Install the crankshaft oil deflector (3).

    6. NOTE:

    Tighten the bolts in crisscross sequence.

  6. Install the 3 crankshaft oil deflector bolts (1) and tighten to 10 N.m (89 lb in).
  7. Install the 2 crankshaft oil deflector bolts (2) and tighten to 25 N.m (18 lb ft).

    Install the oil pump drive chain cover (2) and tighten to 10 N.m (89 lb in).

  9. Install the oil pan. Refer to Oil Pan Replacement (L5Q) .
