Installation Procedure

    NOTE:

    Used lash adjuster arms must be returned to the original position on the camshaft. If the camshaft is being replaced, the lash adjuster arms actuated by the camshaft must also be replaced.

    Apply lubricant to the valve tips. Refer to Adhesives, Fluids, Lubricants, and Sealers (Europe LV7)Adhesives, Fluids, Lubricants, and Sealers (North America LV7) .

  2. Position the 16 hydraulic lash adjuster arms (1) on the tip of the valve stems and on the lash adjusters.
  3. Apply lubricant to the 16 hydraulic lash adjuster arms (1). Refer to Adhesives, Fluids, Lubricants, and Sealers (Europe LV7)Adhesives, Fluids, Lubricants, and Sealers (North America LV7) .
  4. Install the exhaust camshaft. Refer to Exhaust Camshaft Replacement (LV7) .
  5. Install the intake camshaft. Refer to Intake Camshaft Replacement (LV7) .
