Installation Procedure

NOTE:
Ensure the actuator timing marks are approximately the 12 O'clock position.

Install the timing chain (1).

Ensure that the colored link (3) matches to the arrow on the crankshaft sprocket.
Ensure that the colored links (1, 2) match to the marks on the camshaft position adjuster actuators.

Install a NEW gasket (2).
Install the timing chain tensioner (1).

CAUTION:

Install the 2 timing chain tensioner bolt (4) and tighten to 25 N.m (18 lb ft).
Remove the suitable tool (3) from the timing chain tensioner.

Install the timing chain tensioner shoe (2).
Install the timing chain tensioner shoe bolt (1) and tighten to 25 N.m (18 lb ft).

Remove the EN-51632 holder (1).
Install the timing chain upper guide. Refer to Timing Chain Upper Guide Replacement .

Check the position of the crankshaft, camshaft and camshaft position actuator adjuster.

Turn crankshaft 720 degrees in the direction of engine rotation by the crankshaft balancer bolt (2).

Install the EN-51632 holder (1).
If the EN-51632 holder (1) can be installed, the engine timing is properly adjusted.
Remove the EN-51632 holder (1).
Remove the engine front cover and crankshaft balancer.
Install the engine front cover. Refer to Engine Front Cover Replacement (LV7) .
Install the camshaft cover. Refer to Camshaft Cover Replacement (LV7) .
