Preliminary Procedures
- Drain the cooling system. Cooling System Draining and Filling (Static) , or Cooling System Draining and Filling (GE 47716)
- Engine Coolant Air Bleed Hose @ Radiator Surge Tank - Remove - Engine Coolant Air Bleed Hose Replacement (LKN Radiator Surge Tank to Water Outlet to Exhaust Gas Recirculation Cooler Outlet Pipe)
- Heater Coolant Pump Hose @ Radiator Surge Tank - Remove - Heater Coolant Pump Hose Replacement (Pump Inlet LKN)
, or Heater Coolant Pump Hose Replacement (Pump Outlet LKN)

Tighten
9 N.m (80 lb in) |

Radiator Surge Tank Procedure
- Fill the cooling system to the proper level. Cooling System Draining and Filling (Static) , or Cooling System Draining and Filling (GE 47716)
- Start the engine and check for coolant leaks.
