Removal Procedure

Remove the timing chain. Refer to Camshaft Timing Chain and Tensioner Replacement .

NOTE:
- Install an open-end wrench to the camshaft flats located on the intake camshaft.
- While holding the open-face wrench steady loosen the camshaft actuator bolt.
Remove and DISCARD the bolt (1) and remove the actuator (2).
