Removal Procedure

Set the park brake and chock the wheels.
Remove the shift knob from the transmission control. Refer to Transmission Control Lever Knob Replacement .
Remove the left front floor console extension panel. Refer to Front Floor Console Extension Replacement - Left Side .

Disconnect the wiring harness (3) from the access plate.
Remove the access plate fasteners (1), then the access plate (2) from the console.

Disconnect the transmission range selector lever cable terminal (2) from the shift lever pin (3).
Release the transmission range selector lever cable retainer (1) and remove the transmission range selector cable from the transmission control lever base (4).

Remove the transmission shift control fasteners (1).
Remove the transmission shift control (2).
Disconnect the electrical connector from the rear of the transmission control.
