Removal Procedure
WARNING: This page is about a different variant/trim than selected.
- Set the park brake and chock the wheels.
- Reposition the engine control module out of the way without disconnecting the electrical connector (s). Refer to Engine Control Module Replacement (LFX) .
Disconnect the transmission range selector lever cable terminal (1) from the transmission manual shift lever pin (2).
Press the locking tabs inward (1) in order to release the transmission range selector lever cable (2) from the cable bracket (3).
- Remove the left front floor console extension panel. Refer to Front Floor Console Extension Replacement - Left Side .
Disconnect the wiring harness (3) from the access plate.
- Remove the access plate fasteners (1), then the access plate (2) from the console.
Disconnect the transmission range selector lever cable terminal (2) from the shift lever pin (3).
Remove the transmission range selector lever cable grommet (1) from the cowl panel.
- Remove the transmission range selector lever cable from the vehicle.
