Range Selector Lever Cable Adjustment

NOTE:
NEW CABLE. To properly ensure the cable is installed correctly, ensure that the transmission shift lever and the transmission control are both in their Park positions. Remove the lock retainer (2) from the shift cable lock. Secure the cable by seating the lock mechanism (2) firmly downward. Ensure that the lock is properly seated.
NOTE:
EXSISTING CABLE. To properly ensure the cable is installed correctly, unlock the shift cable lock, by lifting the lock upward. Ensure that the transmission shift lever and the transmission control are both in their Park positions. Secure the cable by seating the lock mechanism (2) firmly downward. Ensure that the lock is properly seated.
The shift cable on this vehicle does not require an adjustment.
