- Ignition - On / Vehicle - In Service Mode
- Select:Module Diagnostics
- Select:Engine Control Module
- Select:Configuration/Reset Functions
- Select:Reset Functions
- Select:Throttle Body Idle Air Flow Compensation Reset
- Follow the instructions on the scan tool.
- Verify the scan tool parameter:Throttle Body Idle Air Flow Compensation = 0%
- If greater than 0
Repeat step 1
- Go to next step: If 0
- If greater than 0
- Engine - Idling - At normal operating temperature
- Verify the scan tool parameter:Engine Speed = -100 to +200 RPM of the Desired Idle Speed
- {Test failed 1 time (s) }If not in the specified range
- Engine idling. - For greater than 3 min
- Ignition/Vehicle - Off - For greater than 1 min
- Engine idling. - For greater than 3 min
- Repeat step 9
- {Test failed 2 time (s) }If not in the specified range
- Perform the following action:Road test the vehicle.
- Vehicle Speed - Greater than 70 km (44 mi)
- Decelerate - For 2 s
- Repeat step 10.2 - 3 times
- Engine idling. - For greater than 3 min
- Repeat step 9
- {Test failed 3 time (s) }If not in the specified range
